Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide variety of dishes including meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables using standardized recipes
- Cook food using a variety of equipment including broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and sauté pans
- Maintain consistent quality and portion control according to company standards
- Stock and restock line stations to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Marinate, season, batter, bread, and otherwise prep ingredients for various cooking methods
- Ensure proper plating and garnish for all dishes before service
- Follow all food safety procedures related to handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients
- Assist with food prep during off-peak periods as assigned
- Clean and sanitize your station and actively participate in full kitchen cleaning during nightly closing procedures
- Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and health regulations in accordance with airport and company standards
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years of kitchen experience required — prior experience in high-volume or airport-based food service is a plus
- Must obtain ServSafe Certification or equivalent within 30 days of being hired
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and work in both hot and cold environments
- Must be available to work varied hours/days including nights, weekends, and holidays
