Duties & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo to and from trucks
  • Verify freight for correct piece count, weight, dimensions, and documentation before accepting or delivering cargo; issue or collect warehouse/delivery receipts
  • Ensure cargo has proper release from office personnel before delivery to consignee or agent
  • Operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and aircraft pallets
  • Break down cargo from import flights, sort, check against manifests, and store in proper locations; build cargo for export flights following supervisor instructions
  • Maintain inventory of freight, warehouse supplies, airline equipment, and containers
  • Maintain security of cargo and company equipment; report tampering, pilferage, or damage to supervisors
  • Keep work areas clean and report damaged or broken equipment as needed
  • Complete paperwork and enter data into company systems in accordance with procedures
  • Follow company protocols for safe and responsible operations

Qualifications

  • Prior warehouse experience required
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
  • Attend all required training and be punctual, prepared, and ready to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 70 pounds regularly, and repeatedly lift items weighing 40–50 pounds onto raised surfaces
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather and around jet and machinery noise
