Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate Wash & Pack and Pick & Pack operating areas
  • Optimize workflows, workstation setup, floor layout, and operational processes
  • Develop and execute short-, medium-, and long-term labor planning strategies
  • Partner with supply chain on forecasting, hiring needs, and staffing plans
  • Manage daily/weekly labor adjustments to meet production demands
  • Ensure compliance with QA standards, HACCP, and customer specifications
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs
  • Align and implement standard processes across forecasting, planning, and systems
  • Monitor and manage KPIs, productivity, efficiency, and departmental performance
  • Oversee inventory, waste control, and adherence to volume and quality targets
  • Track, analyze, and resolve operational incidents and performance issues
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and frontline teams
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and coaching
  • Promote employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives
  • Drive cross-training programs and maintain skills matrices for workforce flexibility
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless operations and service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and union agreements
  • Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory audits
  • Manage scheduling, manpower planning, and workforce allocation
  • Address conflicts, resolve issues proactively, and support team performance
  • Lead operational and leadership meetings
  • Support senior leadership with strategic initiatives and overall unit performance

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of operations experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience managing large teams (100+ employees)
  • Proven leadership experience through middle management layers
  • Strong background in process improvement and change management
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in food safety, high-security, or regulated environments preferred
  • Airline catering or aviation experience is a plus
