Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise food production to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with HACCP and FDA regulations
  • Maintain food cost and labor cost controls
  • Ensure all products meet airline specifications and quality standards
  • Monitor inventory, waste control, and supply levels
  • Oversee daily logs, including temperature and compliance reports
  • Manage workflow, staffing, and shift scheduling
  • Train, coach, and evaluate employees; handle performance management and corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, union agreements, and wage & hour regulations
  • Coordinate with maintenance for equipment upkeep and issue resolution
  • Support employee retention and reduce turnover
  • Lead and manage a team of up to 40 employees

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in food production, manufacturing, catering, or restaurant environments preferred
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification required
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D required; associate’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual (English + Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish) a plus
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, FDA regulations)
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to analyze problems and implement operational improvements
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including overnight shifts as needed
