Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise food production to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with HACCP and FDA regulations
- Maintain food cost and labor cost controls
- Ensure all products meet airline specifications and quality standards
- Monitor inventory, waste control, and supply levels
- Oversee daily logs, including temperature and compliance reports
- Manage workflow, staffing, and shift scheduling
- Train, coach, and evaluate employees; handle performance management and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, union agreements, and wage & hour regulations
- Coordinate with maintenance for equipment upkeep and issue resolution
- Support employee retention and reduce turnover
- Lead and manage a team of up to 40 employees
Qualifications
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in food production, manufacturing, catering, or restaurant environments preferred
- Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification required
- High School Diploma or G.E.D required; associate’s degree preferred
- Bilingual (English + Spanish/Chinese Mandarin/Vietnamese/Hindi/Polish) a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, FDA regulations)
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to analyze problems and implement operational improvements
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including overnight shifts as needed
