Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate a lavatory truck to service aircraft lavatories
  • Use lavatory and sanitary water equipment to safely empty, flush, and refill aircraft systems according to airline and regulatory requirements
  • Complete daily equipment checks and associated checklists, including security searches
  • Operate lift trucks to position and move equipment within the airport
  • Supply aircraft with potable water as required for operations
  • Follow all safety and universal precaution procedures when handling bloodborne pathogens and hazardous waste
  • Use personal protective equipment, including face shield and hearing protection
  • Maintain communication with airport operations using radios and digital devices
  • Read and follow aircraft loading instructions, hazard labels, and routing documents
  • Follow all FAA, TSA, Port Authority, and airport safety regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ year experience in driving, ground operations, utility work, or airport support preferred
  • Must possess a state issued Driver’s License
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
  • Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, climb, and work in tight or confined spaces
  • Ability to lift, move, and operate equipment in an active airfield environment
  • Must be available for flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime
