Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive and operate a lavatory truck to service aircraft lavatories
- Use lavatory and sanitary water equipment to safely empty, flush, and refill aircraft systems according to airline and regulatory requirements
- Complete daily equipment checks and associated checklists, including security searches
- Operate lift trucks to position and move equipment within the airport
- Supply aircraft with potable water as required for operations
- Follow all safety and universal precaution procedures when handling bloodborne pathogens and hazardous waste
- Use personal protective equipment, including face shield and hearing protection
- Maintain communication with airport operations using radios and digital devices
- Read and follow aircraft loading instructions, hazard labels, and routing documents
- Follow all FAA, TSA, Port Authority, and airport safety regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year experience in driving, ground operations, utility work, or airport support preferred
- Must possess a state issued Driver’s License
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
- Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Must be physically able to bend, stoop, climb, and work in tight or confined spaces
- Ability to lift, move, and operate equipment in an active airfield environment
- Must be available for flexible shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime
