Baggage Handler

Duties & Responsibilities

• Load and unload passenger luggage and cargo from aircraft
• Sort and route baggage to the correct flights and carousels
• Operate baggage handling equipment, including conveyor belts and trolleys
• Inspect baggage for damage or security concerns and report issues
• Ensure timely and accurate baggage delivery
• Handle oversized, fragile, and special-care baggage
• Follow airport safety, security, and baggage handling procedures
• Work closely with airline, security, and ground operations teams
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in baggage handling areas
• Complete required training and follow company and airport regulations

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Basic computer and electronic device skills
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. & stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods
• Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
