Cashier

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide friendly, attentive customer service
• Process customer orders accurately using the POS system
• Receive payments, provide correct change, and complete cash-handling procedures
• Serve hot, cold, and frozen beverages along with a variety of food items
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and confidently answer customer questions
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
• Clean equipment and utensils throughout the day
• Remove trash and maintain clean floors and work areas by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of retail or food service experience
• Food Handler’s Permit as required by law
• Brand certification as required by law
• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic math skills for operating a cash register, making change, totaling guest checks, and handling cash
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and take orders
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods
