Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work in prep kitchens and on the line of fast casual concepts supporting back of house operations
  • Prep ingredients for BOH lines and prepare food to the correct doneness, portion sizing, and plating specifications for consistent presentation every time
  • Control and maintain the quality of all food items prepared according to approved specifications and restaurant directions
  • Operate all kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment at all times
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Support other cooks and collaborate effectively within a team environment to achieve guest satisfaction
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of culinary experience in a fast-paced restaurant demonstrating entry-level cooking skills including quick serve, grilling, and frying
  • Must obtain ServSafe Certification or equivalent within 30 days of being hired
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
  • Fully conversational in English
  • Able to lift 35 lbs. or more
  • Must be mobile and able to stand for extended periods, to stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Must be available to work varied hours/days including nights, weekends, holidays, and bad weather conditions
