Duties & Responsibilities
- Work in prep kitchens and on the line of fast casual concepts supporting back of house operations
- Prep ingredients for BOH lines and prepare food to the correct doneness, portion sizing, and plating specifications for consistent presentation every time
- Control and maintain the quality of all food items prepared according to approved specifications and restaurant directions
- Operate all kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, and kettles
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of work areas and equipment at all times
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Support other cooks and collaborate effectively within a team environment to achieve guest satisfaction
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of culinary experience in a fast-paced restaurant demonstrating entry-level cooking skills including quick serve, grilling, and frying
- Must obtain ServSafe Certification or equivalent within 30 days of being hired
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
- Fully conversational in English
- Able to lift 35 lbs. or more
- Must be mobile and able to stand for extended periods, to stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Must be available to work varied hours/days including nights, weekends, holidays, and bad weather conditions
