Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, store, transfer, and dispense petroleum fuel products
- Operate motorized fueling vehicles, including fuel tank trucks with standard and automatic transmissions
- Operate non-motorized fueling equipment, including hydrant carts
- Fuel and de-fuel aircraft according to flight crew and flight plan requirements
- Inspect fueling equipment and vehicles and report malfunctions or inconsistencies
- Perform accurate fueling calculations
- Fuel ground support equipment using gasoline or diesel as required
- Communicate with carrier personnel and operational teams
- Utilize hand-held radios, telephones, and computers for daily communication
- Complete and submit documentation related to fueling activities
- Respond to fuel emergencies, including fuel spills, following established safety procedures
- Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and carrier security requirements
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Work safely in a fast-paced airport environment
Qualifications
- Previous CDL driving experience required
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B Driver’s License required
- Valid DOT Medical Card required
- Must be able to obtain Hazmat and Tank Endorsements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred
- Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive, team-oriented environment
- Strong general math aptitude
- Must be dependable and able to follow directions
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be willing to work in all weather conditions
