Duties & Responsibilities
- Observe and report suspicious activity and security concerns
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas (AOA/SIDA)
- Enforce airport, Port Authority, and federal security regulations
- Conduct vehicle inspections and screen personnel entering secure areas
- Perform perimeter checks and inspections of facilities and contractor areas
- Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and security threats
- Assist with crowd control, fire watch duties, and emergency response situations
- Direct traffic and provide escort services as required
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and unusual activity
- Maintain detailed logs and complete incident reports
- Assist passengers and staff when needed without compromising security duties
- Remain on post at all times unless properly relieved
- Report for duty early for roll call and post assignment
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years verifiable security experience (W2 or employer letter required)
- Valid NYS Security Guard License required
- Driver’s License preferred
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or G.E.D required
- Fluent in English
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical duties for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and respond to emergency situations
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay Progression:
- $22.35/hour (starting rate)
- $23.25/hour after 8 months
- $24.15/hour after 18 months
