Duties & Responsibilities

  • Control aircraft access by ensuring only authorized personnel enter the aircraft while on the ground
  • Provide AOA ramp access control and safety oversight during ground operations
  • Conduct thorough aircraft searches according to company and federal regulations prior to departure
  • Monitor bag rooms and baggage make-up areas to prevent theft or pilferage
  • Provide surveillance at catering facilities and search all catering equipment to ensure nothing is tampered with in transit to the aircraft
  • Verify passenger identification and ensure all passengers are authorized to board flights
  • Work in conjunction with airport and government agencies to maintain compliance with local and federal regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 6 months to 1 year of security experience required
  • SORA License required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Able to effectively speak, write, and understand English
  • Must be flexible to work all shifts including overnight and mandatory overtime
