Food Service Utility Worker

Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean equipment including work tables, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other kitchen equipment
• Wash utensils, pots, and pans by hand or using a dishwashing machine
• Return clean utensils, pots, and pans to their proper locations
• Remove trash and garbage and dispose of waste in designated areas
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and buff floors using appropriate equipment
• Clean walls and windows and steam clean trash cans
• Stock, date, rotate, and check temperatures of food products
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or hand truck
• Load and unload supply trucks
• Follow all company safety and security procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be mobile and able to stand for extended periods, to stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Must be available to work varied hours/days including nights, weekends, holidays, and bad weather conditions — must be flexible
